We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
Information we collect
When you visit our website, contact us or place an order, we may collect information including your name, email address, billing and delivery address, telephone number, order details and information necessary to process your payment.
We may also collect technical information about how you use our website through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, communicate with you about your purchase, provide customer service, process returns or refunds, maintain appropriate business and tax records, prevent fraud and maintain the security and operation of our website.
Where you have chosen to receive marketing communications, we may also use your details to send you information about Taarah Holistic products, offers or updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Our lawful basis for using your information
Where information is necessary to process and fulfil your purchase, we process it because it is necessary to perform our contract with you.
We may also process information where necessary to comply with our legal obligations or for legitimate business interests, such as maintaining the security of our website and preventing fraud.
Where processing relies on your consent, such as certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies, you may withdraw that consent.
Who we share information with
We only share personal information where necessary to operate our business and provide your order.
This may include our website and e-commerce providers, payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal, delivery and fulfilment providers, and service providers that help us operate our website and communicate with customers.
For products fulfilled by our fulfilment partner, the information required to deliver your order — such as your name and delivery address — may be provided to Ancient Wisdom so that your purchase can be dispatched directly to you.
Payment information is processed securely by the relevant payment provider. Taarah Holistic does not need to receive your full card details in order to process your online payment.
We do not sell your personal information.
International data transfers
Some technology or payment providers we use may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, we expect appropriate safeguards required by applicable UK data-protection law to be used.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including fulfilling orders, providing customer service and meeting applicable accounting, tax and legal requirements.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for functions such as shopping baskets, checkout and payments.
We may also use optional cookies for analytics or other website features. Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies, these should not be activated until you have made your choice.
The ICO confirms that website visitors should be informed about cookies and that consent is generally required for cookies that aren’t strictly necessary.
Your data-protection rights
Under UK data-protection law, depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction of certain information, object to certain processing, request portability of your information and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
